Launched in 2018 to help other women on their PCOS journey as they follow mine, Health and Beth is a lifestyle blog that shows you the whole truth about living with PCOS, and how I’m dealing with it, as well as how to cook clean and women’s health in general.
I hope from this blog, other women will find an accepting community of women, with or without PCOS, along with some advice on what or how to eat, but I am just starting out in the blogging community, so I don’t know everything yet, but I’m excited to learn with you too!
When I was diagnosed with PCOS, I wasn’t told enough about it and I think that is because there is a lot that people don’t know about it. I was sixteen when I was diagnosed and I was told that because I was on the pill anyway, there wasn’t a lot else I could do apart from maintain a healthy weight, but as you know, with PCOS, it is easier to gain weight and harder to lose.
As I got older, it got harder and harder for me to manage, the symptoms got worse and more of them started showing their ugly head and it just got harder to manage. So I started looking online for support, and the more and more people I found, I noticed they were all people who had already been through the journey, I couldn’t find one that was documenting their journey as it happened, so I thought if I could share mine, I could show other women that is okay to feel shit about this disease.
