It’s been a while since I did a make up haul. So I thought I’d share with you some bits and bobs that I got to go on my face.
No. 7 Stay Perfect Foundation – Calico
I had my face colour matched and discovered that I am Calico from No7. I have worn this foundation today, and it is very lightweight, I can’t even feel it on my skin, which is a real bonus. It is Semi-Matte so it doesn’t give me a glowy, dewey, sweaty look. I will have try it for a while to see how I get on with it, but so far, so good. It is a bit more expensive than I would usually go for, but I still had some christmas money left over.
Collection Lip Butter – Cappucino
I love Collection as a make-up brand, mainly for the eyeliner, mascara and lip butter. But I find they are really good quality and very nicely priced. This one is particularly nice, it is a very nice nude colour, but very hydrating, so if you want to go for a minimal look but want some protection on your lips, this is great!
Collection Lip Butter – Perfect Plum
Another Collection lip butter. This one is great for the autumnal look, it is very berry-ish. Quite dark, but not too dark that it is extreme! At this time of year, I love having a darker berry lip.
Revlon Lip Butter – Sugar Plum
This is my favourite lipstick for every day. The colour is very subtle, but can be built upon, this is great for work when you want a little bit of colour without too much effort. And it is very moisturising, I can actually feel it working! I actually bought two, one for when I get ready and one to leave in my bag for any moment.
Burts Bees Lip Crayon – Hawaiian Smolder
This one is a really nice colour, but it isn’t as moisurising as the butters. I would liken this to a stain as the colour stays on very well, but if you want the shine you’d have to put a balm or gloss over the top, but it is 100% natural, and cruelty free, so I don’t mind paying a little bit extra for it.
No. 7 Moisture Drench Lipstick – Rosy Ribbon
This one I haven’t got round to trying yet, but when you have your face tested, you are given a card which tells you what lipsticks look best with your skin tone, so this was one of them. The colour looks very nice very autumnal, but I think I would save it for an evening look as it is quite daring. Maybe at a bonfire party.
No. 7 Stay Perfect – Auburn Whisper
This again was one of the ones that the recommended for my skin tone. This is more of a red tone, I usually go for a darker red with a purple undertone, but I think this is more of a red red, so we’ll see how it looks.
Body Collection – Eye Shadow Pallette
This I was really pleased with, there are 43 different colours for £2.99. The colours are absolutely beautiful and they last me all day. This is a definite repurchase if and when I need to!
So there we go. I spent a little bit more on this haul than I normally do, but I actually got quite a lot for the money spent so hopefully I won’t have to go out and buy any more for a while yet.
