Female Body Hair

This is a subject that I have spoken about before, but I thought I’d revisit it as a new piece of evidence has emerged!

I don’t know about you but have you ever noticed that every single advert for women’s razors show a woman shaving her legs when she doesn’t have one single hair on that damn leg.  Well as I was scrolling through the news one day this week, something caught my eye an advert from a company called Billie.

Billie is a razor subscription service aimed at women, and they have released a new advert which actually shows women and their body hair. And I really appreciate that. They are releasing a campaign called Project Body Hair.

For the past 100 years, women’s razor brands haven’t acknowledged female body hair. Commercials show women “shaving” perfectly smooth, airbrushed legs. Strange, huh? But everyone has short stubble, long strands, or something in between. What you do with yours is up to you – grow it, get rid of it, or comb it. It’s your hair, after all. ~ Project Body Hair Website.

Not just that, but they have made a collection of stock images showing women with body hair available free of charge. And I love this so much.

I’m so thankful for Billie for this campaign, I’m glad its come around and it is about time. Unfortunatly the Billie Subscription is only available in the US, but as soon as they start shipping abroad, I will definitely be purchasing!

Have any of you in the US tried the Billie Subscription? Or do any of you have any subscription boxes? Leave a comment and let me know.
