Blog a Day June | Lazy Sunday

So today is the first day I’ve actually been able to sat down and blog for a while. I’ve had a deadline this week so I’ve been pulling a few all-nighters to get it finished and I literally did not have any more time to blog, so unfortunately I had to let it go for three days, not too bad… maybe next time I try to blog every day of the month, I won’t have any deadlines!

Today, as all you British people know, it is Father’s Day. My parents are away on holiday at the moment (lucky them) so instead of seeing my own father, I spent the day with my Granddad instead. I took some food and some movies round and we just had a chill out day in comfy clothes, feel good movies and cozy drinks.

Actually when I arrived, he was already watching Zathura on the TV, which is one of my favourite films, so we carried on watching that, after that we watched The Prince of Egypt, which in my opinion is the best of the Dreamworks traditional Animations.

We needed to take a short break after all the singing from that one, so we refueled with coffee and two oreos each (rare treat, I’ll probably pay for it later, but who cares). After that, we watched my second favourite film ever, The Wedding Singer, which I know is cheesey, but I do love a bit of cheese!

When that one finished, the TV channel we’d left on had started to play Hook, so I had to stay for that! You can’t not watch Hook if its on, that’s just blasphemy.  It was a bit bittersweet seeing Robin Williams on screen, so sad about what happened to him.

So as you can see we had a very lazy Sunday, which is how I like to spend my Sundays, but this was extra lazy than our usual Sunday traditions. It was really nice to just do nothing and not feel guilty about it, for the first time in ages, I’ve not got a deadline looming over me, which is a lovely feeling. I can sit back and relax now!

I’ve got the day off tomorrow too, which is exciting. I love a long weekend! I’m going on an adventure with some friends, so there will be an exciting post up tomorrow and I need to do some shopping as well, so what do you guys feel about a food haul?
